Eddie Gavin is a Beef Sheep and Tillage farmer farming 200 acres. Eddie keeps 320 ewes, mainly Suffolk cross and recently introduced belclare.  Eddie rear’s 30 dairy bred calves each year this year and keeps them as bulls. Eddie also run’s a contracting enterprise mainly hedge cutting. Eddies future plans are to reduce tillage to 60 acres increase ewe and cattle numbers with the view to phasing out the contract work. Eddie paddock grazes sheep and has a very good interest into growing more grass and increasing his knowledge of grass production .
