In the late 1940’s Edward Keating attended his first meeting with the Irish Grassland Association. Edward transferred to Johnstown Castle as Superintendent in 1952. While there he hosted the Grassland members and with the assistance of staff discussed the ongoing research at the centre. In the 1960’s and early 1970’s Edward enjoyed IGA trips on the continent and participated in many lively and entertaining meetings with the IGA. Mr. Keating was President of the IGA in 1969-1970.
