Tom Reid

A successful farmer, for over thirty years, Tom specialised in Beef, sheep and cereals.  A visionary thinker and was amongst the first farmers in Ireland to introduce slatted sheds for wintering cattle in the early 1970s.  In 1993 he converted his farm into a world class golf course, designed by Christy O’Connor Junior.  In 2001 he added a Hotel eventually creating Glasson Country House Hotel as a major wedding venue in the midlands.  Achievements include the Hosting of a European Challenge Tour Event in 2007 & 2008 and being named the IGTOA Golf Resort of the Year in 2011.
